Commercial litigation

Punt & Van Hapert Advocaten conducts legal proceedings and advises clients on commercial and business disputes over the enforcement of commercial contracts. This includes disputes about purchase agreements, service agreements, franchise agreements, contracting agreements, cooperation agreements, agency and distribution agreements, mergers and acquisitions, (bank) guarantees and general terms and conditions.

We also work on cases involving the liability of legal persons and directors, both inside and outside the context of bankruptcy, and we have extensive experience in the field of chain liability among contractors. Our expertise also includes attachment and foreclosure law.

Practice shows that timely and effective action to ensure the preservation of bank accounts, for example, is an effective means of ensuring that you do not miss the boat. We also conduct foreclosure proceedings, such as disputes over mortgage and property rights and the execution of court decisions.

Finally, we provide support for companies collecting outstanding invoices (debt recovery) – from start to finish. One option that we offer in this regard is payment based, in part, on a successful resolution.

Our clients include hospitals, independent treatment centres, construction companies, real estate companies, investment funds, software companies, trading companies, transport companies, catering companies, consultancy firms and art dealers. We also represent footballers, agents and football clubs for the purposes of player transfers, including at the international level. The majority of our clients are from the Netherlands, the United States, the United Kingdom and Italy.
